Information for applicants

The Mayoral and Divisional Donations Program provides financial assistance to not-for-profit incorporated community organisations that service the needs and pursuits of the Gold Coast community. The program aims to support and stimulate projects, events and activities with a whole of city focus.

Funding is available for projects that align with the City's Corporate Plan, Gold Coast 2020.

Please note:

  • Funding limit is up to $5,000, however community organisations should consider applying for a lesser amount as the application process is widely competitive and an allocation for the full amount requested is not guaranteed.
  • Applications are assessed based on the benefit to the local area by the Divisional Councillor and the requested amount specific to the actual project is likely to be more successful.
  • Council does not provide financial assistance to community organisations for competitions, prize money or third party fundraising initiatives.
  • A request for construction and/or maintenance of fixed improvements on Council leasehold land is not eligible.
  • A request for assistance towards rates and charges on Council leasehold land is not eligible.
  • An acquittal report is required for donations $2,001 and over.
  • If you are not a Vendor with City of Gold Coast and are successful with your application, you will need to provide a bank statement with your BSB and account details.
