INFORMATION FOR SENIORS MONTH GRANT APPLICANTS: Please read information below to assist you in completing your application.

Applications close at 10pm on 31 January 2022. Late applications will not be accepted.

The Seniors Month Grant Program provides funding to support community organisations to deliver projects that celebrate Seniors Month. For details about Seniors Month, visit:

Grant funding under this program may be awarded for projects that align with the desired objectives and strategies identified within the City’s Corporate Plan, Gold Coast 2022 and that clearly demonstrate a benefit to the residents of the Gold Coast. Please see City of Gold Coast website for more details.  

Please review the Community Grants Policy including eligibility and project requirements before completing your application.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

In order to complete this application, you will be required to upload:

  • Evidence of the community organisation's legal status
  • A bank statement header for the community organisation's bank account (account name, BSB and account number must be visible. Copy of the transaction list is not required)
  • Evidence of project cost (quote, project budget etc)
  • A copy of the community organisation's Certificate of Currency (Public Liability Insurance)

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS 
Eligible Applicants

   Applicants must:

  • be a community organisation;
  • operate within the Gold Coast;
  • have an adequate level of public liability insurance for the project (where appropriate);
  • not be an ineligible applicant (refer to policy for definition of an ineligible applicant).

Project Requirements

   Applicants must be able to:

  • deliver a project that celebrates Seniors Month within the dates set annually by the State Government;
  • demonstrate a public interest benefit for the project;
  • demonstrate that the project has a defined outcome that will benefit
  • residents of the Gold Coast.

Ineligible Projects

   Projects must not:

  • be funded from other Council sources;
  • be used for repayment of a debt;
  • be for the sole purpose of fundraising for transfer to a third party;
  • be for capital projects on Council owned or controlled land;
  • have commenced prior to remittance of funds; and
  • have a minimum grant score of less than 50%
