PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible as a Participant you must meet the following criteria:

Are you 20 years of age or older before 22 June 2026? * Required

The 2026 Professional Placement Program offers Placements for early career and mid-career artists and creative workers.

For the purpose of this program, the definitions of these are as follows:

Based on the definitions above, are you either an early career OR mid-career artist or creative worker? * Required

Are you an early career OR mid-career artist or creative worker with experience working in a professional creative art capacity either in your area of expertise and / or within an organisation in the cultural or creative sector and / or managing your own company and / or official tertiary education industry-based experience. * Required

Do you have any overdue acquittals and / or outcome reports from a funding program delivered by the City of Gold Coast Council (e.g. Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), Arts Organisations Triennial Funding Program, Arts Development Fund?) * Required

EMPLOYER LETTER (Not Applicable)

This section is not applicable because of your response to questions:

  • "Are you a current employee of a Council Controlled Entity (Experience Gold Coast, Invest Gold Coast or Brand Gold Coast)?" on page 1
  • "Are you an employee within an organisation funded through the City of Gold Coast Community Partnerships Fund or Arts Development Fund?" on page 1

Based on the information provided above, you have confirmed that you are an employee of:

  • Experience Gold Coast or
  • Invest Gold Coast or
  • Brand Gold Coast or
  • An organisation funded through the City Of Gold Coast Community Partnerships Fund or
  • An organisation funded through the City of Gold Coast Arts Development Fund.

For your application to be eligible, you must upload a signed letter from your employer (CEO, Senior Management or Chair) stating that your application to be a Participant is not associated with the duties of your role within that organisation.

If you do not provide this letter, your application will be deemed ineligible and will not progress to the next stage of the selection process.

The employee letter must:

  • Confirm that the application to be a Participant is not associated with the duties of the applicant’s role at that entity.
  • Be signed by the applicant’s employer (CEO/Senior Management/Chair).
  • Be a maximum of one (1) x A4 page on the employee’s company letterhead.
  • Be attached as a file in the section below.

    ABN REGISTRATION (Not Applicable)

    Based on the information provided above, you have confirmed that you DO have an ABN in your own name or the name of your business.

    For your application to be eligible, you are required to input the information in the APPLICANT DETAILS section of this form.

    ABN REGISTRATION (Not Applicable)

    Based on the information provided above, you have confirmed that you DO have an ABN but it is not in your own name or the name of your business (eg. It is in the name of a Trust etc).

    For your application to be eligible, you have two (2) options to choose from:

      Based on the information provided above, you have confirmed that you DO NOT have an ABN but are willing to obtain one.

      There are 2 options to choose from:

      OPTION 1: You apply for an ABN in your own name or the name of your business at no cost (see link below) and include that in your application form.

      OPTION 2: You can wait to see if you are chosen as a successful applicant and apply for an ABN then. Please note that if you chose this option, you will need to have an ABN in your name or the name of your business before you start your Placement.
