Overview

The Discretionary Grants Program is allocated funding each financial year to support community organisations to deliver projects primarily intended to benefit a divisional area and its residents.

Funds administer under the Discretionary Grants Program are considered discretionary funds pursuant to the City’s Community Grants Policy and s202 of the Local Government Regulation.

Project location

Your project should take place within the boundary of the City of Gold Coast Division in which you are applying - and must be within the City of Gold Coast local authority area.

Please note if you project is City-Wide please apply for the Whole Of City (Mayor).

Confirmation of Eligibility

Before proceeding, please confirm the following: 

  • reviewed the Community Grants Policy
  • meets the eligibility requirements and terms & conditions set out in the program guidelines
  • is delivering an eligible project
  • align to an outcome within the City Vision
  • is not receiving funding from another Council source for this project
  • has acquitted all previous grants provided by the City of Gold Coast
