Introduction

The Nature Conservation Assistance Program (NCAP) provides financial assistance to private landholders to undertake on-ground ecological restoration projects.  These projects protect and enhance the natural assets and biodiversity of the City of Gold Coast (City).

Please refer to the City's NCAP website to check your property’s eligibility for assistance.  Consider how your proposed project aligns with the program’s objectives prior to completing this form.

To be eligible, all projects must be conducted within the City, on private land and must be in the public interest of the community.

Project Details

Please read the eligibility criteria for the NCAP. 

Your project needs to demonstrate environmental benefits and contribute to the protection, enhancement and management of the Citywide conservation network.

Ecological restoration activities that are eligible for funding through the NCAP include:

  • environmental weed control and bush regeneration to rehabilitate areas of native vegetation back to their natural condition
  • planting of local native tubestock for the purpose of:
    • rehabilitating a degraded area that won’t naturally regenerate
    • establishing vegetation connections
    • rehabilitating the banks of natural waterways to reduce sediment run-off, provide erosion control and increase waterway health
